Grasmere Village Hall is at the heart of the Grasmere community – it’s a place where people come together to learn, celebrate, create, and connect. As a charity run by volunteers, we rely on the goodwill, energy, and generosity of local people to keep the hall thriving and to ensure it continues to serve Grasmere for years to come. Volunteer at Events
Our events are only possible thanks to the amazing volunteers who help with everything from setting up chairs, welcoming guests and serving food and drinks, to supporting behind the scenes with running the website, managing bookings, and advertising events. If you have the appropriate skills and would like to be involved, we’d love to hear from you.
Share Your Skills
We are always keen to hear from people with expertise that could help us make further improvements to the hall – whether that’s practical skills, professional knowledge, or experience that could strengthen how we operate. If you have something you’d like to offer, we’d love to talk.
Help Us Grow What We Offer
We’re committed to developing the range of activities available at the hall, and we’d love to hear from anyone interested in running dance‑fitness sessions. Whether it’s Zumba, Line Dancing, Jive lessons, or something entirely different, we’re keen to support new opportunities that bring people together and keep our community active.
We are also currently looking for someone with the skills and enthusiasm to run table tennis sessions for young people, as we have two table tennis tables at the hall. If that sounds like you, please get in touch.
Our new large screen also gives us the chance to support older residents who would benefit from help with using smartphones, tablets, or the internet. If you have the patience and skills to offer friendly, informal digital‑skills sessions, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
